This a small lake with mountains beyond.  There is a beach and a swimming area, paddle boats, a playground, and a picnic area at the main entrance.  At the far end of the lake there is a natural stream with a hiking trail.

Directions: From Hwy 85 exit  Almaden Expressway  head south and turn left on Coleman Avenue and turn right on Winfield Drive. Almaden Lake Park is on the right .   Free Parking is available along Winfield Drive. Meet by the Bocce Ball courts near Winfield entrance.
