This is one of the last remaining blocks of “old Sunnyvale.” It now has trees and many of the old shops have been turned into restaurants - one can take a world food tour on this street. Lots of color and the buildings have “great shapes.” Read more about this site: MurphySV Historic Murphy Ave SV Caltrain info Meet the organizers by the intersection of Murphy and Washington. One short block west of Murphy Ave is the Caltrain station where you can paint the station, trains, and people waiting for trains.
Directions: From Highway 101 or El Camino take Mathilda Ave. to Washington and turn east. There is plenty of parking behind Macy’s just across from Murphy Avenue or turn left on Sunnyvale Ave. and find parking behind the stores. While one can bring lunch, you may be tempted by one of the many eating places in front of you.
