"Senior Safari” at Happy Hollow Zoo in San Jose's Kelley Park (748 Story Rd, San Jose)

Happy Hollow Park & Zoo is a place for the young and the young at heart. Visitors age 50 and up are invited to take over San Jose’s iconic Happy Hollow Park & Zoo and feel like a kid again! Once in, we will be able to sketch and paint the animals and the Park's other attractions and even ride the carousel.  Please go light on the art supplies:  carts and easels are not permitted inside the zoo.  We do have permission to do artwork if we keep it on our lap and make it 9" x 12" or smaller.
Senior Safari admission and parking are free, and guests are welcome to stay for the day after gates open to the general public. Guests who enter before 10 a.m. may stay the whole day for free!  But don't be late because even seniors have to pay admission and parking after 10 AM. Painters will need to register before entering the Senior Safari Event at Tables in the plaza. Once registered, you will receive a card granting you faster event entry.


Directions: Free  parking for Senior Safari participants is located at 748 Story Road across the Bent Bridge from the Entry Plaza. just mention to the attendant you are attending the Senior Safari.
From 101 take Story Road west, left on Senter Road. From 280 exit at 10th/11th streets, follow signs to Spartan Stadium, turn left on Senter Road and right on Story Road. The parking lot is on the right.
