The center is housed in the La Petit Trianon, a country home designed by Willis Polk and built in 1895 by the Baldwin Family.  It faces a sunken garden which was part of the estate and some of the balustrades date back to the building of the house.  Check the campus map to find the Trianon/CA History building.
