A docent is available for a tour at 10:30 am.
Entry instructions: EACH painter will need to check in at the main Moffett gate with a valid California driver's license or passport for every adult in the car. Inform the guard that you are going to the museum. Once we meet at the museum and pay $8 admission we can paint Hangar One, Parade Ground, 1930s era buildings, operations tower, red and white water tower, etc., whatever we want as long as we observe posted access signs and do not enter fenced/restricted areas.
Directions: Take 101 to Mountain View. Exit at Moffett Blvd (exit 398 for northbound drivers, exit 398A for southbound) and turn right toward Hangar One. Road changes name to Clark Rd, then to S. Akron Rd. Turn right on Severyns Ave. Park in the small museum lot or in the larger adjacent lot. Here you will meet with Alison who is coordinating our visit with the Museum. Late arrivals, if you don’t see Alison, go into the Museum to sign-in.
Attendance: Attendance is free and is open to all SCVWS members.
