This is a lovely preserve of first growth redwoods, understory trees, perennials and a creek running through it (probably dry in June).
Meet near the entrance to the Redwood Grove boardwalk.
Facilities: Washrooms at Shoup Park and Porta Potty at the preserve.
Directions: From Foothill Expressway in Los Altos, take Main Street going west, then turn left on University Avenue and go 0.2 miles. The entrance to the grove is marked (although hard to see) on the right. Street parking. From the University Avenue entrance is a short walk down a hill, then turn to your left to enter the preserve. You can also park and enter from the adjacent Shoup Park.
